My family crossed land and sea when we moved to Canada in 2011 from Israel via Ukraine. It has been a
fun journey to see the world while discovering my passions. Taking up volleyball, badminton, drama
crew, Student Council Leadership and the prayer team at school has been balanced with my community
service through Harvest City Church and the Duke of Edinburgh program.
I believe I am a wanderer of sorts, using my faith as a compass to navigate the direction of my life…a
feat I intend to accomplish through persistence and a relentless smile. In this season of finishing high
school at Harvest City Christian Academy, I look forward to the future.
Following graduation, I will be attending the University of Regina in the Faculty of Business
Administration. I am determined and excited to make the best of this opportunity and to see where I
end up and who I meet while following this path.
Above all, I thank my supportive family, friends and church for helping me thus far. Taking this next step
in life, I, Yelyzaveta Bielaia, embrace it with open arms.
