Sebastian E.

Martin Collegiate

My name is Sebastian Eger. I am a Grade 12 student at Martin Collegiate. I am so lucky to say I am part
of an extremely loving and caring, happy family. Me, my parents, two younger sisters and a cat is a full
household, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
I could have shown my interest in photography, travel or guitar in this autobiography, but I decided on
hockey as it has helped shape who I am today. Hockey has always been the major passion in my life. I
didn’t mind the 6 a.m. practices before school, my frozen toes after a game on the outdoor rink or the
intense training off ice. The speed of the game, the skill, the rink—I love everything about it. In 2015, I
was drafted to the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL and the Flin Flon Bombers in the SJHL. I am playing
for the Regina Pat Canadians and, this year, I was made an Assistant Captain on the team.
My goal is to continue playing hockey at the junior A level after high school and eventually play for a
university team while I complete a Bachelor of Science degree. I am thankful for the friends I have made,
the coaches who have helped me, and my family who have supported me through the ups and downs of
this competitive sport that has made me who I am today.
