Sara Nasrullah

Thom Collegiate

Hi! My name is Sara Nasrullah (she/her), and I will be graduating from École Thom Collegiate in 2022! I’ve always had an innate sense of enthusiasm and passion for my academics, extracurriculars, and involvement within the community. It has been a source of ambition, opportunity, and happiness that has shaped who I am today. I strive to excel in my studies, as a leader in the community, and as a well-rounded individual. Of course, the pandemic, mixed with two knee surgeries, steered my world in another direction. However, I was still able to achieve my goals, while snagging some  treasurable memories along the way. I found that being involved in my community in and out of school has enabled me to meet an array of people and unique experiences that are of lifelong value. I have served in the SRC all four years of high school, been a member of the A.C.T. team, and volunteered at Extendicare care homes since 2014. These experiences have taught me to stay relentlessly optimistic, open-minded, and accepting towards everyone. While balancing this, I have maintained my honour roll position all four years, most recently with a 98.8% average. I have also been playing soccer and running track in and out of school for 7 years, and am set to become a lifeguard by summer! I look forward to one day becoming a neuro-surgeon with my undergrad in biomedical sciences, working to break the gender barriers in the otherwise male dominated field.
