Reece Kirby

My name is Reece Kirby and I am currently a student at Greenall High School.

While growing up, I tried a variety of sports and activities based on whatever piqued my interest at the moment. I have participated in a variety of sports, such as basketball, football, badminton, ringette, hockey, speed skating, and more. When the pandemic shut things down, many of my favourite activities and sports stopped, and I found it difficult not having a full calendar. I soon learned that with a more open schedule I could better focus my time on particular activities. This has given me many of my strongest friendships and experiences. I became more involved with football and in my school’s choir, R&B, and band. I have also had the privilege of performing lead in my school’s musicals and one acts. I will look back on this school year with happiness because I became a mentor to my peers and upcoming performers. I find joy in seeing others succeed, so if I can help them reach their goals, I will do so with gratitude.

For my future education, I have looked into both performing arts and science degrees, and I look forward to where life will take me!
