Meagan – Scott Collegiate
My name is Meagan Barnaby, and I am the youngest in my family. I have one older sister who attended Scott Collegiate and also received this award. My family and I are very close and I could not imagine life without them.
I LOVE cheerleading! It was introduced to me in Grade 10. Before this I was in dancing my entire life and I believe that this is the reason I am so in love with cheer now. Currently, I am working evenings at Canadian Tire the days I do not have cheerleading.
Right now life is coming at me fast! I am already accepted into university and will be starting in the fall. I’m going into social work because all my life I have known that’s what I wanted to do. I am planning to be a counsellor, specifically an addictions counsellor. I also want to hold seminars for teens about sexual health and how drugs can spread certain STIs/STDs. I’m already a Health Ambassador and feel I have more knowledge of these subjects than an average person my age.
