Matraca M.
Regina Christian School
My name is Matraca, and I have attended Regina Christian School for 14 years. I am thankful for the many friendships and relationships I have made here.
My family has always supported me in whatever I do: whether that’s my academics, hobbies, sports, or my future career goals. I would definitely say they are my biggest cheerleaders. My friends are very important because they experience everyday life with me: classes, sports games, and also real-life challenges make life hard. I would be a different person today if it wasn’t for my friends.
I have played school sports since Grade 7 and have enjoyed learning and improving my skills along the years I’ve attended RCS. All glory goes to God for giving me the skill, strength, and motivation to play.
God is such a big part of my life because He has been the source of my joy, strength, and peace. Even when life gets crazy or things happen that are really tough, God has always been faithful. No matter what I do here on earth, my main goal is that others see Christ through me.
Ever since I was 7 years old I’ve wanted to be a teacher and follow in my dad’s footsteps, so in the fall I am attending the U of R to take Secondary Education in Mathematics.
I hope to be able to use the gifts God has given me to teach others and help them make the most of their education.
