Hello! My name is Madeleine and I am in grade twelve at Michael A. Riffel Catholic High School. I vividly remember my first day at Riffel; I was extremely nervous because I did not know anybody. However, my nerves were soon dispelled, and over the last four years Riffel has become one of my favourite places to be.

I participate actively in many extracurricular activities, both at Riffel and within my community. At Riffel, I am a mentor in the That’s Possible Theatre Company, and I participate in SADD, Student Representative Council, God Squad, and canteen. Outside of school, I dance at the Youth Ballet and Contemporary Dance of Saskatchewan and was a member of their performing company for five years. For the past fourteen years, dance has always been a huge part of my life, and I am happy to share the joys of dance with others. In addition to dance, I take Taekwondo lessons. I currently hold my red belt from the World Taekwondo Federation.

Academics has always been my first priority, and all throughout High School I have earned the honour of distinction. Next year I plan to further my education by putting my math and science skills to use, studying Actuarial Science in university. I am extremely grateful for all the staff and students at Riffel who have ade my high school experience a positive one. I will always look back with fond memories of my time spent at Riffel High School.
