Kim – Martin Collegiate
My name is Kim, and I am a Grade 12 student at Martin Collegiate. After spending three years at Campbell Collegiate, I made the incredibly difficult decision to transfer to Martin and attend the Softball Academy for my final year of high school. Although it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, I am happy with my choice to transfer as I have met so many incredible people from whom I have had the opportunity to learn and grow as both an athlete and a person.
Sports have always been a very important part of my life. Since I was old enough to walk, I’ve been running around a field or skating around a rink. I played practically every sport that I could as a child, but in recent years, softball has been the sport that I have focused on the most. I typically play softball 12 months out of the year on multiple teams. In the winter months, I play on a travel team which has players from all over Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and we compete in various tournaments in the United States. In the summer, I play locally on the Regina Kaos. I am one of four returning players on this team, and I am excited to see what this season has in store for us.
Although I have not yet chosen a university, I plan to pursue studies in the Faculty of Science.
