My name is Jobie, and I am a proud Spartan in my senior year at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate. A large part of my life for the past four years has been spent competing for my school. Playing football, basketball, hockey, volleyball, golf, and curling has allowed me to represent “The C” and develop friendships with fellow Spartans who are more important than any game I ever played.

Athletics have always been a big part of who I am but this year, I ventured beyond my comfort zone and was elected Senior Grade Leader of our Student Leadership Council, a role I take pride in doing well. I have often been a quiet leader who leads by example, but leading a student body of 500 has helped me become a more confident speaker. In the classroom, I have been able to maintain a high A average in all of my academic subjects, which challenges me to manage my time and prioritize the activities that are important to me.

The guidance I have received from my parents, teachers, and coaches, as well as the friendship I have received from my peers, has made me who I am today. I am thankful for the experiences that I have been provided through my involvement at Sheldon, as well as the people I have met. I am, and always will be, a proud Spartan.
