Jensyn S.
Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School
My name is Jensyn Semchuk. I’ve had the privilege of attending Miller
Comprehensive Catholic High School for the past four years.
During my time at Miller, I’ve had many opportunities to be involved in
leadership. From grade ten to grade twelve, I’ve been a member of the Student
Representative Council. In both my grade ten and eleven years, I held a position as a
promotions director. In my grade twelve year, I’ve been a co-president. I’ve also had
the incredible opportunity to be a representative for RCSD’s STRIVE – the Student
Trustee Representative Iniative for Voice and Engagement. This group has allowed
me to grow as a leader and become much more involved in education and our
community.
Being a student at Miller has allowed me to engage in a variety of extra-
curricular activities. I’ve been involved in the science research team, the golf team,
Miller’s Difference Makers and am vice-president of Student’s Against Distracted
Driving. I’ve also been a member of the Miller pom team, this year as a co-captain.
An important part of my life outside of school is the Regina YMCA. The YMCA
gives me the chance to explore both my passion for health and fitness and my
interest in community service. Over the past three years, I’ve been an employee and
volunteer at the YMCA. Next year, I plan to study within the Faculty of Kinesiology
and Health Studies at the University of Regina.
Thank you, Twelfth Year, for this opportunity!
