F.W. Johnson Collegiate
I am a student at F.W. Johnson Collegiate and a proud Wildcat. Despite my involvement in extracurriculars at school being limited I still connected with the teachers there through my love of the subjects they were teaching. They supported me when I needed it and pushed me when they thought I could go further. I have been working for the past five years and have been able to balance work and school life where I maintained a high average and received honour roll every year. I have always had two main interests outside of school and they are reading and camping. As a kid, I was always reading at times when I should have been doing other things but I just loved being in that different world. I spent a lot of time reading while camping as it was a peaceful setting. I have spent thirteen years being a member of the Girl Guides of Canada and I have my leaders to thank for my love of camping. I am most at peace and feeling like myself when I am outside in nature, this is why I was finally able to settle on the career path I did. My plan for after high school is to attend the University of British Columbia at the Okanagan campus for a bachelor of science in Ecology. After that, I intend to find a career where my job is to protect the earth’s ecosystems and sustain wildlife in the process.
