Harvest City Christian Academy

My name is Jarrod David Michael Daunheimer and I’m a lifelong student at Harvest City Christian Academy. I’m grateful that I’m interested in things that span a large proportion of the human experience. Because of those diverse interests, I’m involved in the arts, sports, academics, as well in army cadets.

Regarding the arts, I am lucky enough to have been granted a position as organ scholar at Holy Rosary Cathedral. I’ve played the pipe organ throughout my high school years and been privileged to sing in the Halcyon Chamber Choir for two seasons.

As an army cadet, I have seen more of Western Canada than I would have otherwise. It’s been great taking courses and meeting cadets from all over the country. Currently, I’m a Chief Warrant Officer and the Regimental Sergeant Major of the 155 RRR RCACC, the culmination of a 5+ year cadet career. Athletic endeavors have always been a part of my life. Whether it’s organized sports or personal fitness, I’m a big proponent of the value of physicality. Throughout high school, I’ve fenced, boxed, skated, and lifted. I’ve also gone to national competitions for biathlon, a sport in which I currently compete, along with my regimen of weightlifting.

This year I had the honor of being the Student Council Co-President, a satisfying conclusion to 3 years in the SLC.

Next year, I plan on going to the University of Toronto or the Royal Military College, with intentions to become an Infantry Officer in the Forces.
