Harvest City Christian Academy
I like to think of graduation as the beginning of a new journey in life rather than the end of one. High school has helped to shape and prepare me for what is next to come, which I will admit, I’m not 100% sure what that is, but whoever really is?
I have spent the past four years of my life dedicated to achieving and striving for excellence in all that I do, whether that be sports, school or helping others. Throughout my time at Harvest City Christian Academy, I participated in basketball, badminton, cross-country running and volleyball, balancing that with outside club sport involvement in volleyball, tae kwon do and ringette. By the age of 14, I found my passion in volleyball and will be pursuing this passion at the post-secondary level, alongside my studies in science. The community that I have been surrounded with at Harvest City since Kindergarten helped me discover what I want from post-secondary education, which has guided me towards Providence University.
There is more to my life than just academics and sports. I grew up as the daughter of a small business owner of a health food store and became passionate about health, nutritious food and baking. I’ve been known to spend days tapping into my creativity, decorating cakes to surprise others for special occasions. From the time I was little, I was also intrigued by living things—everything from butterflies and ladybugs to dogs, cats and horses. My grandparents live on a farm and some of my most special memories involve time at the farm exploring nature.
I’ve been blessed to have had three special relationships with pets—our dogs Titus, Naya and Bailey all have special places in my heart. In my picture, I’m with my newest puppy, Bailey, who was acting quite shy during our photo shoot!
I look forward to what the future holds for me and am grateful Twelfth Year has helped capture some moments from my journey so far.
