Hajra A.

Regina Huda School

My name is Hajra Afzal, and I am a senior at Regina Huda School. In 2016, my family and I moved to Canada from my home country, Pakistan, in hopes of bettering our lives. Moving here wasn’t a huge change for me, as I had been travelling since the day I gained consciousness.

My life has been quite the adventurous type, and if it were not for my crazy life experiences, I would not be the person I am today. I love to longboard, bake, hang out with friends/family, binge watch Netflix, create my travelling bucket list, pray, work out, and spend time with myself. I usually find myself smiling at cats, old people, or quotes I find in heart-touching poetry books without even realizing it.

I have been fortunate to meet people in Regina that have helped me prosper and thrive over the years. As far as academics go, I have been receiving great distinctions for the past three years of high school. Being a student at Huda School has made me an active and responsible member of the community, providing me with the skills and qualities to reach my goals and fulfill my dreams.

This fall I am moving to Ontario and attending the University Of Waterloo, earning a Bachelors in Health Studies to later apply to medical school.

All I want to accomplish in life is a sense of true happiness and success, as I look forward to changing the world for the better in some way.
