Haden – F.W. Johnson Collegiate

High school is such a short period of my life but it is so important to my future. Throughout my high school career, I’ve worked as hard as I can to prepare for the rest of my life. In high school, students learn a lot about who they are, what they like and don’t like, and they make decisions that can impact their futures.

As for me, I have really grown to like football and basketball. Over my few short years at Johnson, I’ve received Rookie of the Year in Grade 10 as well as Player of the Week, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and the Heart and Soul awards in my Grade 12 year for the Johnson football team. Equally important, for basketball, I won the Hustle award on my team in Grade 10 and Defensive Player my Grade 11 year.

I have made the school honour roll every year as well, always having at least an 85% average. After high school, I am undecided as to what I want to do. I have had some football teams show interest in me playing for them, but I’m not certain that that’s something I want to do anymore. My plan is to go to university, get a degree, and see what happens from there. Outside of school, my family is very important to me, and I enjoy spending time with them.
