Emma – Sheldon-Williams Collegiate

Hi! I’m Emma, a senior at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate as well as the Executive of Marketing on our Student Leadership Council.

I can’t speak enough to how much my time at Sheldon has helped me to grow as a person. Throughout my high school career, I had the opportunity to express myself in so many ways―through the improv team, five assorted bands and choirs, and our yearly musicals, for starters. As well, this year marks my first (and last!) on our SLC. On top of all this, I have been balancing a job, a Globe Theatre acting class, and a semester-long solo project in which I created a video game from scratch. Needless to say, this year has been a battle for balance! But for all the 2:00 a.m. bedtimes and 6:00 a.m. alarm clocks, I can’t say I would have it any other way.

Throughout my high school career, my passion for art, music, writing, and drama has been encouraged by peers and teachers alike. I can’t begin to thank them enough for this; I am more grateful than I can say for their positive influence on my life. My confidence has increased tenfold since I started high school. I will never forget their support through this exciting time in my life.
