Harvest City Christian Academy
I am Elizabeth Ingrid Espinas Primitivo, a first-generation immigrant from the Philippines. Being involved in the community is important and it is the reason I have been part of Toastmasters and a volunteer in the Reading Buddy Program through the Regina Public Library. I have been an active member of Harvest City Christian Academy’s Student Leadership Council, currently heading the Outreach committee, organizing events such as the “Socks for Soul’s Harbour” fundraiser. I have also been part of the Air Cadet Program for the past six years, where I serve as a Flight Sergeant for 41 Hercules.
Vincent Van Gogh said, “Great things are not done by impulse, but a series of small things brought together.” This quotation has greatly inspired me and challenged how I perceive life, making me more passionate about how the details can bring forward truth. I enjoy doing puzzles, which also increased my love for fine details and looking for clues that others don’t notice.
My fascination with forensics led me to pursue an online course in Forensic Science with Stratford University, where I finished with high honours when I was 16. I plan to pursue science at the University of Regina, after which I intend to go to Mississauga to earn a master’s degree in forensic discipline. It has been such an honour and blessing to be part of the Twelfth Year Program for 2020.
