Dilpreet – Campbell Collegiate
It’s hard to believe that I’ll be graduating this year and moving forward to reaching my dream of becoming a cardiac surgeon. The last 18 years have offered me so much to be thankful for, primarily my supportive parents and three younger siblings. Without them, I would not be where I am today, and I hope to take the great friendships and memories of high school with me as I move on in life.
Campbell has given me the opportunity to be a part of the Student Leadership Council as well as play a leadership role in the Me to We Team. With the support of teachers and peers, I can proudly say that I am a recipient of the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award. These last four years of high school have never been a bore, whether it be the challenges of the International Baccalaureate Program, badminton tournaments, Best Buddies lunches, Business Club event preparations, teaching at Heritage Language School, playing the flute or volunteering at the hospital; every event has helped me grow and develop new skills.
Since Grade 3, my future aspirations have been set. I am planning to complete a Bachelor of Science degree and move through medical school to become a cardiac surgeon. The years are many to reach this goal, but I know my commitment is just as abundant.
Special thanks to Twelfth Year for this opportunity and for everyone who has given that hand up to help me become who I am today!
