Miller High School
I joined Miller High School in Grade 10, after moving to Canada from Nigeria in 2019, along with my family. As a Marauder, I have been encouraged to truly explore more of my facets as I have expanded my horizons beyond the classroom, allowing me to discover my affinity for curling and theatre. I forever remain grateful for the many opportunities I have had through classes and extracurricular activities. From choir, vocal jazz, and photography classes to the multiple AP classes provided at Miller, there have been multiple avenues for my self-exploration and development.
I love academics, as it gives me a safe space to continually challenge myself, and with the support of teachers and family, I have achieved success in school through hard work. I have discovered my love for math and sciences, which has led me to pursue a career in medicine. As a Christian, my faith guides my all aspects of my life. I have developed spiritually and maintained a close relationship with God, something that will continue to be a priority in my life. In building my faith, I have had the opportunity to serve within my religious community as a member of Harvest City’s children’s ministry. In addition, I have volunteered with the RCMP and SWISS, which has allowed me to improve my community and make it more inclusive.
My past has held many memorable and positive experiences for me, and with gratitude and optimism, I look onward to the many possibilities of the future.
