Benjamin Beck-McKenzie

Sheldon-Williams Collegiate

My name is Benjamin Beck-McKenzie and I am in grade twelve at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate. Throughout my years at Sheldon, I have been an active member of the music department, taking part in the vocal jazz, choir, jazz band, and concert band programs. As a member of the Sheldon-Williams Student Leadership Council, I collaborate with my peers to foster an inclusive school community. I also have a love of learning. I strive for academic excellence, enjoy lively debates with my peers and where possible, I offer assistance to others who may be struggling with content.

Outside of school, I have played a wide variety of sports over the years and am quite focused on my personal fitness. I appreciate nature and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and cycling. I am also an advocate for mental health among my peers and I try to encourage open conversations.

After graduating from high school, I will be studying nursing at the University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic. In the future, I would like to work as an emergency department nurse and will pursue a Masters of Nursing degree. I look forward to a lifetime of helping my fellow citizens.
