My name is Alexis, and I was born on July 10, 1997. I’m definitely anything but ordinary―I’m colourful, sassy and unique! Perhaps my passion for unicorns and tacos makes me a bit different than the average high school student.

I’ve always loved school. When I’m at school, I tend to try and keep to myself as much as possible, but that doesn’t always work since I can also be really vocal and bubbly.

Elementary school flew by so fast and was a total breeze. Unfortunately, high school wasn’t always as easy for me, with lots of adolescent angst, but I tried to make the best of it by joining the Gay-Straight Alliance in Grade 10 and Peer Support in Grade 11. My experience with Peer Support and the wonderful Cochrane teachers has been absolutely amazing and made my high school years all the more fun. My favourite subjects since starting high school have been Culinary Arts, English and Social Studies.

In the future, I plan to attend university or Saskatchewan Polytechnic (formerly SIAST) to become a health inspector. When I was younger, I always thought I’d become an artist or a sculptor, but when I was around 16, I finally realized that I wanted to become a health inspector for the government.
