Alex Jones

Archbishop M.C. O’Neill

My name is Alex Jones and I attend Archbishop M.C. O’Neill High School, somewhere that will forever have a place in my heart. These past four years, I have discovered myself, my interests, and created endless memories. At school, I have made it a priority to participate as much as possible. I’m a member of many activities including basketball, track and field, Mental Health Club, Pep Rally committee and I am the President of the SRC. The variety of my participation has given me the chance to expand who I am, discover new abilities, and form unbreakable relationships. Outside of school, I am a member of the Provincial Youth Council and “STRIVE,” a student led leadership program run by the Catholic School Division. I take great pride in these groups because they allow me to be a voice for my fellow students. I am a strong believer that mental health is a priority for all and was a youth leader for Understand Us Mental Health Initiative. I am also a coach/instructor at Hooplife Basketball, which allows me to share my leadership qualities with my great love for the game. I’ve had the honour of representing my province on the national stage on the Basketball Saskatchewan team. The greatest years of my life have been in high school; however, I am excited to see what the future has in store. After graduation, I plan to pursue a law degree from the University of Regina.
