Regina Huda School
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” (Viktor Frankl)
This quotation has defined the progression I have made as a student, friend, brother and person. My name is Ahmed Salad, and I am a member of the leadership, debate and business clubs of Regina Huda School.
I have spent the last eight years of my life in Regina, six of which I have attended RHS from Grade 7 through 12. Before coming to this school, I was enrolled in the full-time Quran Memorization Course, in which I memorized the 604-page Holy Book. As for my time in RHS, I have managed to receive the great honour roll award throughout all of high school, among other honours.
As one who can appreciate the strides mankind has made through history to get us to where we are today, I also strive to learn as much as possible to help advance humanity in some way. My continuous love for science stems from my father’s career as a dedicated geologist, along with my passionate teachers here in RHS.
For my immediate future, I plan on attending the University of Regina to pursue a biology degree, with a focus on genetics, which is among science’s most exciting fields.
Words cannot express how much RHS has shaped me as a person, and I am most grateful to each and every one of the teachers, staff and students for helping me to be who I am today.
