Louis – Thom Collegiate

I was born in Korea and lived there since I was in Grade 6. I moved around quite a bit while living in Canada, but I was fortunate to attend Thom Collegiate from Grades 9 to 12. I’m currently going through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, and it has really allowed me to meet great students and teachers.

Throughout high school, I have tried to juggle the education aspect while having fun in school. I try to maintain high marks and get involved in activities such as leading Outdoor School and assisting with the Terry Fox fundraising we do at our school.

My biggest passion is music. I am part of three of the four music classes in our school. I listen to all kinds of music, but I’m focused on the contemporary genres. Hip Hop and R&B are my favourite genres and I, myself, make beats and create songs whenever I feel inspired. I am not great at it quite yet, but I get really happy while making beats and it’s something I truly enjoy. I would love to do what Kanye does for a living.

After high school, I plan to attend the University of Regina for at least a year or go to York University in Ontario. I’ve always dreamed of living in Toronto and getting involved in that city’s culture. It would be a big change moving from Regina to Toronto, but it’ll be a fun and exciting challenge.
