Kaitlyn P.
Sheldon-Williams Collegiate
Hello! My name is Kaitlyn and I currently attend Sheldon Williams Collegiate. At Sheldon, I have been consistently encouraged to find my passions and overcome challenges. In searching for my interests, I was part of our school’s band, a musical, our soccer team, our Truth and Reconciliation Committee, and our improv club, and I am currently a member of our choir, SLC, environmental/outdoor club, yearbook, and book club. Outside of school, I was a FSgt in the 41 Hercules Air Cadet Squadron and took multiple ceramic classes. In the summer before grade eleven, I was also fortunate enough to take part in the YMCA youth work exchange where I spent six weeks in Quebec working, volunteering, learning French and more about Truth and Reconciliation, and making lasting friendships. Due to all of these amazing opportunities and the wonderful people beside me, I have learned that life is short. Because time is so fleeting, I discovered I want to capture every moment. To do this, I absolutely love photography. Each photo I take is a moment that will never happen again and I find comfort in knowing that these stories will never be forgotten. Although I am going into the University of Regina for Biology, I want to continue photographing memories and possibly, pursue a career where I can incorporate photography with my other passions.
