Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School

Hi, my name is Hayley and a soon to be 2023 graduate of Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School.

I can’t ever remember a time without having a dog in my house. Since fostering 5 years ago I have had the privilege to foster 72 puppies. I’ll admit, it’s been a lot of work but it’s also been pretty amazing to see them grow up and be adopted to their forever families. I’m so glad to be apart of their journeys and the puppy cuddles are only a bonus.

I am so proud of how I’ve grown into the confident person I always dreamed of being. I joined Fridays For Future where I took on the label of environmental activist to create change in what I deeply care about- keeping all living things on Earth safe.

At Miller I became a leader in the Permaculture club where one of my main responsibilities was maintaining the schools school garden. I was able to grow produce for the cafeteria and grow over 25lbs of grapes which I made into jelly.

Next year I will be attending the University of Alberta and my ultimate goal is to become an astrobiologist and work for the Canadian Space Agency. I want to be apart of new discoveries and leave my mark on this world and know right now is only the beginning.
