Martin Collegiate

My name is Faith Hillsden and I am a grade 12 student at Martin Collegiate Sports Academy. If you know me, I spend most of my time at Rebels Cheerleading Athletics where I am an athlete and a coach. I have been cheerleading for over ten years and through this sport, I learned the value of leadership and teamwork. Cheerleading has given me terrific opportunities such as being a part of my gym’s World Championship team that competed at the ESPN Center in Orlando Florida.

Over the past two years, I have been impassioned to better the lives of youth in my community. This motivated me to start a body confidence class in my community where I taught young girls how to be confident in themselves. I have also joined the RCMP National Youth Advisory Committee, became a Sunday school teacher at my church, and coach the sport that I love.

Next year I am attending either the University of Regina or Saskatchewan studying Biology. With this degree, I hope to become a Forensic Scientist or Zoologist.
