Emily McCreery

My name is Emily McCreery and I will be graduating from Regina Christian School this year. I love to read and write, and am passionate about one day making writing into a side hobby. My interests are varied, but I enjoy snowboarding in the winter, and watersports in the summer. I seek adventure where possible, and am not afraid to dip my toes into new waters!

I define myself by my efforts to help others and to give back by meeting my community needs. At the mention of the word leadership, it is commonly assumed to be for those whose strengths lie in public speaking, being the captain of a sports team and events, or even being the first to confidently speak and raise questions. I have learned that leadership is not measurable by the number of people you can reach, or by the popularity or attention received by others. Rather, it is the quality of the impact you can have in the lives of people around you. For me personally, by allowing my passion for volunteering and community involvement is how I am able to foster relationships with those having different needs. Everyone is a leader in some way, and leadership develops differently for everyone.

After graduation I plan to pursue a degree in Business, ready to take on new opportunities and experiences.
