My name is Dakota, and I am currently a Grade 12 student at Balfour Collegiate. I enjoy attending school every day, as I also love to learn and discover new things whenever I am given the opportunity.
As well as studying my favourite school subjects, I also like to study music. I have been playing piano for 13 years (since I was five years old), and I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved music, and I see music in everyday life. I love to incorporate music into my school environment in ways such as getting involved in school performances and events―I love to be in the spotlight!
During and outside of school, I continue to be a very friendly and outgoing person. As well as a proud extrovert, I would also label myself as incredibly optimistic, as I tend to find the good in most situations. I often see the glass as half full, rather than half empty!
In the future, I am planning to attend the University of Regina to begin my career in psychology as a guidance counsellor.
