HelloAllison B.

Winston Knoll Collegiate

Allison Bennett is a senior at Winston Knoll Collegiate. In addition to maintaining the highest average in
her class for the past three years, she participates every semester in musicals and one-act plays. From
Humpty Dumpty in Shrek to a Pink Lady in Grease, she loves acting, singing and dancing. Allison also
enjoys photography and drawing in her spare time (of which she has very little).
She has spent many evenings volunteering at Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, which brings her great joy
and makes her feel like a part of something very meaningful. She also loves science and enters in the
regional science fair every year. Last year, she won best overall at regionals and advanced to nationals in
Ottawa.
After she graduates, she plans on becoming a doctor of optometry. This career combines her fascination
with science and her love of helping people.
Her greatest passion, though, is flying. She has been an air cadet with 41 Hercules Squadron for over five
years and now holds the rank of Warrant Officer. Allison got her glider pilot wings through the air cadet
program last summer and flies Schweizer 2-33A gliders at 15 Wing Moose Jaw. This summer she will
have the privilege of getting her power pilot wings and will fly Cessna 150s and 172s with the Regina
Flying Club at the Regina International Airport. Nothing makes her happier than the thrill of flight so she
plans to keep flying for the rest of her life (or as long as they’ll let her!)
